2019 is looking like it’s off to a very exciting start and promises more cannabis business opportunities to aspiring and existing canna-business owners.
Carson, CA
The City of Carson is accepting commercial cannabis operation permit applications for cultivation, manufacturing, distribution
The application fee is $20,000 and must be accompanied by a $25,000 deposit, which will be used to cover City actual costs to review and process the applications.
The application process includes a 90-day staff review period, which may be extended by City staff.

West Hollywood, CA
The City Council is considering increasing the number of adult use retail cannabis business licenses permitted in the City and will base the number of additional licenses permitted upon a review and update of the license screening process.

San Luis Obispo, CA
The City of San Luis Obispo released its Commercial Cannabis Business Operator Permit Application and will begin accepting submissions on January 7, 2019. The submission window will close on January 29, 2019.
The Application fee is $7,431 which does not include specific fees per license type. There will also be a final application fee when the permit is issued and it is set at $15,087.
The City will be permitting both medical and adult use commercial cannabis activities spanning cultivation, non-volatile manufacturing and infusion, distribution, testing, transportation, storefront and non-storefront retail, and microbusinesses.

Imperial Beach, CA
The City Council will adopt resolution No. 2018-7994, which will set the Regulatory Safety Permit Cannabis Outlet Application Processing Fees.
