This week, LA is gearing up for its Phase 1 annual license submissions.

In Riverside County, RFPs for Cultivation, Retail, and Microbusinesses are being released on Wednesday, and Chula Vista extends the submission window due to website inaccessibility. New BCC forms, that are cited in the final regulations, are now available.

 Los Angeles, CA

The Department of Cannabis Regulation (DCR) held a workshop for Phase 1 annual license applicants in preparation for annual license application submissions. The workshop covered: ownership disclosures, premises diagrams, operation plans, appearance before the Neighborhood Council, community meetings, the pre-license inspection, and regulatory compliance.

Chula Vista, CA

The City extended the submission window for manufacturing, testing, and distribution applicants due to website inaccessibility to today at 5pm. 

Applicants that have not yet been able to upload their application and required documentation can submit through their portal here.

Riverside County, CA

 Riverside County will begin accepting pre-registration applications on January 30, 2019 and will close the submission window on February 15, 2019. The pre-registration forms must be submitted by email to CannPlanning@rivco.org.

After pre-registering, interested parties will have to attend an information session between February 25 and March 8. All questions regarding the process must be submitted by March 15, 2019.

As for RFP submission, the deadline is April 12, 2019 at 4 p.m. There will be a $5500 review fee and $300 background check fee for each owner. The County will require five (5) copies of the RFP, including one (1) electronic copy and the full payment for review and background checks.

The County’s process for consideration of a Land Use Permit involves the selection of interested parties who will be considered based on their submitted proposals, and those who rank high, will be considered first to process a Conditional Use Permit.

The top ranking microbusiness, retail, and cultivation RFP applicants will be notified beginning June 26, 2019.
