Audit Manager

Are you an accounting professional with deep technical expertise and a passion for coming up with innovative solutions?  Do you thrive on developing and motivating others?  If so, you may be a good fit.  At GreenGrowth CPAs, we provide audit services using an approach designed to provide the flexibility to serve the unique circumstances and complexities of our cannabis clients.  As an Audit Manager, you’ll assist in the delivery of quality services that aim to exceed client expectations.

As an Audit Manager, you will oversee day-to-day operations of audit engagements. You’ll closely work with the team to tackle accounting, auditing, and other issues, while using audit tools and technology. Your responsibilities will involve:

  • Prepare audit strategy
  • Plan and execute audits
  • Set and monitor budgets
  • Identify and supervise staff
  • Guide integration of overseas resources to drive efficient execution
  • Process flow automation to perform data analysis of client data
  • Participate in the proposal process for new clients and projects

The ideal candidate will have formal education from a top business school. Ideally, we are looking for candidates with experience and at least five to seven years of experience in audit work. We are also looking for the following skills and attributes:

Required

Client Success Specialist

The Client Success Specialist role is a great opportunity to demonstrate your relationship management and organizational skills. This role will provide excellent service to our clients and the GreenGrowth CPAs service team by ensuring the sale and onboarding process is professional and error free. The role as it stands now is working directly with the tax team and its 300+ clients. This is subject to change as the firm grows and evolves. This role serves as the direct contact for tax clients and has a large incoming of emails, calls, and communications from clients. Effective prioritization and 24 hour turnaround on all communication is required. 

  • Contact clients via phone, text, and email to discuss questions, concerns, and service information. Large focus on tax document collection from clients.
  • Effectively and independently prioritize projects. Must have the ability to create reports for effective communication of project priorities.
  • Administrative duties included but not limited to; document management, report tracking, and tasks relevant to meeting company goals
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure client’s needs are being met promptly
  • Input and track client notes and activity in Hubspot, Canopy/ProConnect, and QuickBooks Online, and accurately log outcomes of customer discussions
  • Own the customer feedback survey process and reporting to share with Management, Sales and Marketing teams
  • Work as part of a collaborative team to ensure our client’s needs are met quickly and with great care
  • Answer the company’s main 1-800 number and identify serious leads. Track and log all calls in CRM software. 
  • Comfortable seeking feedback on their performance and suggesting new ways of doing things to increase efficiency.

Our ideal Client Success Specialist is enthusiastic about solving problems and answering questions while not always having the answers available. This role will require a person that is driven to learn and solve problems on their own and be comfortable asking questions. CPA Tax Manager

GreenGrowth’s tax team is seeking a Tax Manager who will be an exceptional addition to our team. As a member of our team, you will be an integral part of the growing company. The right person for this role has extensive technical knowledge, is able to coordinate the communication between several Clients, and has a strong work ethic. The following is a partial list of responsible duties:

  • Previous and continuous work experience with the Drake/ProSeries/Thomson Reuters tax software / relevant tax software
  • Experience with tax preparation of: 1040 / 1120S / 1120 / 1065, etc
  • Working knowledge of U.S. Income Taxes
  • Act as a liaison between our Clients and the internal company
  • Assist with general tax, marketing and branding opportunities
  • Reaching out to existing and potential Clients
  • Help collect contact information and organize information in a coherent manor
  • Research local city municipality cannabis ordinance
  • Assist our Clients with applying for local cannabis licenses

  • At least 5 years of public accounting experience working exclusively in Tax (at a level of Senior Associate or Tax Manager)

Senior Accountant

Given our rapid growth, GreenGrowth’s Tax team is now looking to hire a capable and determined CPA specializing in tax, audit and compliance needs facing our clients. As a member of our team, you will be an integral part of the growing company. The right person for this role has technical knowledge, is able to coordinate the communication between several clients, and has a strong work ethic. If you are someone who likes to be challenged, work autonomously while still working in a team environment, research and solve problems, and drive projects to completion, then this opportunity is for you. Provide exceptional advice and services to a portfolio of 200-300 clients throughout the year, including:

  • Preparation of tax returns for clients ranging in size from $500K to $4M in revenue, including but not limited to preparing Forms 1040, 1120S, 1120, and 1065;
  • Assisting clients with general tax, marketing and branding opportunities;
  • Assisting clients to apply for local cannabis licenses;
  • Ensuring compliance with local and state cannabis regulations and tax codes respectively;
  • Providing technical tax reviews and approval of tax returns;
  • Assisting Audit Partner with annual audit engagements;
  • Assisting with assurance engagements.
  • Act as a trusted thought partner to clients, and a liaison between our clients and the internal company throughout the year. Achieve 90% “high” client satisfaction ratings and client retention year over year.
  • Keep up to date with and research local city municipality cannabis ordinances as required.
  • Comply with required CPE obligations each year.
  • Assist the Marketing team to generate ideas and create new content on an as needed basis.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Tax.
  • At least five years of public accounting experience working in Tax and Accounting at the level of Senior Associate or Manager.
  • Working knowledge of US income tax and related tax forms, particularly tax preparation of Forms 1040, 1120S, 1120, 1065, etc., and a desire to learn more about taxes and compliance facing the cannabis industry.
  • Strong knowledge of AICPA auditing standards, audit methodology, and US GAAP.
  • Previous and continuous work experience with UltraTax.
  • Exceptional Excel skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work under time constraints and tight timelines.

 

DESIRABLES

The following are desirable but not required:

  • Master’s degree in Accounting or Tax.

Junior Account Executive – Oklahoma City, OK | Michigan | Washington | Oregon

We are seeking account executives to join our growing company’s sales team. In this role, you are responsible for developing and executing sales strategies that drive revenue for the company, monitoring and reporting on sales goals, and adjusting tactics as needed to reach them. The Junior Account Executive will work closely with other executives to drive strategic direction and resource allocation for the company.

A successful candidate will drive the company’s achievement of customer acquisition and continued success in revenue goals. This position will share responsibilities in both the tactical and strategic leadership of the sales organization, working cross-functionally to plan, execute, and produce results for our sales team.

The Junior Account Executive, a salary base and commission role, is responsible for converting inbound leads to sales as well as developing new leads. This role will require skills pertaining to building relationships, opening new markets, and researching and developing new lists for potential contacts. This is a remote position, and our sales team is focused on video and phone sales. They should be able to quickly build a rapport with potential clients, have a strong understanding of our business to convey our products, track and follow-up with potential clients, and convert new business. Finally, the Junior Account executive would be part of the final hand-off of clients to the appropriate tax and/or accounting teams. All of these tasks will require an organized, highly detailed individual to be successful in this role.

  • Establish and maintain strong working relationship with the sales team as well as key clients and assist in developing creative marketing strategies for expanding the customer base.
  • Develop a strong understanding of our business, products, and services to convert leads to new sales via phone.
  • Using HubSpot, respond to all inbound sales leads and convert to new clients.
  • Track all leads, categorize them for follow-up, and prepare new clients for conversion to the service lines.
  • Research new companies, lists, and vendors to open new markets by building relationships, cold calling, and lead generation.
  • Meet minimum monthly sales quotas and conversion rates.
  • Participate in regular meetings with leadership and marketing to provide sales feedback, receive market and industry updates, and gain insight on new products
  • Proven track record of sales metrics and meeting sales numbers at least two years in a row.
  • Progressive movement in sales resulting in sales leadership experience.
  • Experience training salespeople and/or building a sales team.
  • Recent management experience, having successfully built, hired and led a geographically diverse team of early career and experienced professionals.
  • Recent experience operating in an early stage company, with a demonstrated ability to wear multiple hats, respond to evolving demands and react to a constantly changing marketplace.
  • Experience selling financial products or background in finance or accounting is desired.
