CPA – Tax Manager

GreenGrowth’s tax team is seeking a Tax Manager who will be an exceptional addition to our team. As a member of our team, you will be an integral part of the growing company. The right person for this role has extensive technical knowledge, is able to coordinate the communication between several Clients, and has a strong work ethic. If you are someone who likes to be ‘challenged,’ work autonomously while still working in a team environment, research and solve problems, and drive projects to completion – then we’re the right fit for you. The following is a partial list of responsible duties:

  • Previous and continuous work experience with the Drake/ProSeries/Thomson Reuters tax software / relevant tax software
  • Experience with tax preparation of: 1040 / 1120S / 1120 / 1065, etc
  • Working knowledge of U.S. Income Taxes
  • Act as a liaison between our Clients and the internal company
  • Assist with general tax, marketing and branding opportunities
  • Reaching out to existing and potential Clients
  • Help collect contact information and organize information in a coherent manor
  • Research local city municipality cannabis ordinance
  • Assist our Clients with applying for local cannabis licenses
  • Ensuring compliance with local and state cannabis regulations and respective taxes
  • Help our marketing team with content ideas, generate and create new content, etc.
  • Technical tax review and approval of tax returns

The ideal candidate should have the following characteristics:

  • Exceptional attention to detail and excellent written and communication skills
  • Working knowledge of the U.S. Tax forms and a desire to learn more about taxes and compliance facing the cannabis industry
  • Ability to work under time constraints and tight timelines

The candidate must have the following professional experience:

  • At least 5 years of public accounting experience working exclusively in Tax (at a level of Senior Associate or Tax Manager)
  • Active CPA license
  • Good Standing with the California Board of Accountancy

Financial Sales Associate

GreenGrowth CPA is seeking a Financial Sales and Marketing Manager to help identify and convert with sales, along with various other client growth initiatives. Our ideal candidate believes in the power of inbound marketing and understands how to build a funnel to help us get the best leads. This person can help us build a winning brand that reaches high-value clients in the cannabis industry.

GreenGrowth CPAs is a lean operation with a start-up mentality. As a result, your role will include other aspects of marketing not directly related to sales. We are looking for someone who is excited by the challenge of working in a rapidly expanding industry and who is able to learn on their feet. You must have excellent presentation skills and a mastery of financial structuring, including, but not limited to, tax, compliance and local regulatory requirements.

  • Generate new sales revenue through client acquisition and expansion of existing clients.
  • Proactively engage with clients to our tax and financial services
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships our existing clients
  • Move clients through the sales funnel and activate hot leads.
  • Recommend ideas, suggestions and alternative income streams.
  • Implement and deliver specific solutions.
  • Complete other related duties as assigned.

  • Prioritizes customer demands and needs across email & phone and web
  • Help strengthen our firm’s revenue retention by providing exceptional and timely customer support
  • Consult and educate potential prospects by answering a high volume of inbound calls and emails
  • Become an expert in our products and services – asking probing questions and handling objections will be critical to your success
  • Exhibit strong communication skills, both externally with clients and internally with our team
  • Remain organized and efficient in a fast-paced environment
  • Achieve and consistently exceed monthly goals; including but not limited to average actions per day, dials, cases worked, talk time and clients retained.
  • Ability to coordinate billings, follow-ups on invoices and related billing responsibilities

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 3+ years of relevant client facing experience – A PLUS
  • Computer proficiency in Gsuite products and Hubspot
  • Experience in account management, sales, advertising, or small business is a plus.
